Sweet Dreams…On A Jelly Donut Bed
July 10, 2008
I have a theory as to why dogs are always happy…it’s because they get to sleep up to 14 hours a day! Well, I decided to take the term “sweet dreams” to a whole new level by making a donut bed that looks like our donut toy. Behold: the new Room Candy Jelly Donut Bed!
Look, Ma! Donuts in the sky!
Our new jelly donut bed is perfect for dogs up to 10 lbs, but being a generous 25″ in diameter, can accommodate dogs up to 20 lbs. On the practical side, the center cushion is removable, and both the center cushion and the bumper have zippers for easy washing. Here’s Honeybear, a 7 lb chihuahua assuming the sphinx pose on the bed.
“If I am dreaming, “donut” wake me up!”
And here’s 20 lb Roxy, a jack russell terrier mix on the bed.
Just out of curiosity, I calculated how many calories a real donut that big will have, and our jelly donut bed is the equivalent of about 14 real glazed donuts in weight, or a whopping 3850 calories!
Tiki, you can’t eat the donut bed!
Extra yummy: I discovered Myla Kent’s dreamy photographs on flickr, and since she is also the proud owner of two chihuahuas, invited her to test drive our jelly donut beds on her two chis. You can read Myla’s comments about the bed on her blog. Thanks for taking these pictures, Myla!
